Bengaluru-headquartered Persistent Systems has outlined an ambitious plan to scale its annual revenue to $5 billion by FY31, signalling a sharper push into artificial intelligence-led digital transformation, selective acquisitions and deeper engagement with large global enterprises.
The IT services firm said the next phase of growth will be driven by a mix of organic expansion and inorganic opportunities, with increased emphasis on AI-first platforms, cloud modernisation, data engineering and digital product development. Persistent is embedding generative AI across its service offerings and delivery processes, while also building industry-focused solutions for sectors such as banking and financial services, healthcare, hi-tech and industrial manufacturing.
Management indicated that the company is seeing rising demand from clients for end-to-end digital engineering and AI-powered transformation programmes, which are larger in size and longer in duration than traditional IT contracts. To support this shift, Persistent plans to step up investments in talent, innovation infrastructure, partner ecosystems and go-to-market capabilities.
The company believes disciplined execution, margin-conscious growth and continued focus on high-value digital and AI engagements will help it navigate uneven global tech spending and still achieve its long-term growth ambitions.
With the FY31 target, Persistent is positioning itself to transition from a fast-growing mid-sized IT player to a more prominent global digital engineering and AI services firm.
